Viewpoints of Jávea

Cap Negre

Dark rocks and dense pine vegetation to the water's edge. Access via shaded path among luxury villas and Mediterranean forest.

Route Tips

Unique perspective between Cap Prim and Cap de la Nau. View of inaccessible coves with water so clear you can count the stones below.

This viewpoint gets its name from the dark color of its rocks and the thick pine vegetation that reaches almost to the water's edge. It is accessed via a shaded path that winds between luxury villas and Mediterranean forest. It is one of the quietest spots on the route, ideal for those who want to connect with nature without interference. What makes Cap Negre unique is the perspective it offers of Cap Prim on one side and Cap de la Nau on the other. You are right in the middle of the two great arms that embrace the south of Jávea. The view downward shows coves inaccessible by land, where the water is so transparent that you can count the stones on the bottom from the top of the cliff.

Transport

Although some sections can be done on foot, it's best to travel by car or motorcycle as the complete route covers about 20 km.

Best Time

Sunrise at Cape San Antonio and sunset at Punta del Arenal are the most powerful experiences.

Equipment

Bring water, comfortable shoes (some viewpoints have dirt paths) and good binoculars to see the islands and boats.
