Xàbia joins World Cleanup Day again with the 'Xàbia Cuida' campaign

Xàbia, 31.08.26.— Xàbia Town Hall is once again getting involved in World Cleanup Day with a new edition of the 'Xàbia Cuida' campaign, an environmental volunteering initiative that seeks to mobilise citizens to contribute to the cleaning and conservation of the municipality's natural spaces.

The event, which will be held on Sunday 20 September 2026, from 09:30 to 12:00, is organised by Xàbia Town Hall in collaboration with Amjasa, Xàbia + Bonica, Tetma Simetría, Jávea Te Quiero Limpia, The Isbjørn Collective, CEX, Red Cross and the Libera initiative, from SEO/BirdLife and Ecoembes.

The activity will take place simultaneously in three areas of the municipality: zone 1, Camí Tapies, in the river area; zone 2, Molí Blanc, in the river area; and zone 3, Santuario de la Plana.

'Xàbia Cuida' proposes a day open to the participation of all citizens with a double objective: to act directly on the environment by collecting waste and litter, and at the same time, to raise awareness about the impact of abandoned waste in natural spaces.

The Town Council highlights the importance of this type of collective action, which allows neighbours to get involved in caring for the municipality and promotes responsible and environmentally respectful habits. The initiative especially focuses on the need to prevent the generation and abandonment of waste and on the shared responsibility of conserving Xàbia's natural spaces.

All those who wish to participate can register in advance by scanning the QR code on the official campaign poster. The call is open to the public and is an opportunity to enjoy a morning of participation, collaboration and commitment to the environment.
