Best Beaches and Coves in Jávea: Updated 2025 Guide

Jávea (Xàbia) boasts 25 kilometers of varied and spectacular coastline. Here is our selection of the must-visit spots for 2025.

1. Granadella Cove

Awarded year after year as one of the best beaches in Spain. It is a small pebble cove with turquoise waters surrounded by pine trees.

Tip: In high season, car access is restricted. Use the tourist train or go very early.

2. Portitxol Cove (La Barraca)

Famous for its white and blue fishermen's houses and the Portitxol Island opposite. It is ideal for snorkeling and kayaking.

Best for: The photo at the blue door is an Instagram classic, but the underwater life is the real highlight.

3. Arenal Beach

The only sandy beach in Jávea. Perfect for families, with shallow waters and surrounded by a promenade full of restaurants, shops, and leisure activities.

Services: Blue Flag, lifeguards, adapted access, and playgrounds.

4. Cala Blanca (Caleta)

Formed by three small coves of white stone and transparent waters. It is a magical place, enclosed by white cliffs.

Access: Only on foot from the promenade, guaranteeing more tranquility.

5. La Grava Beach

Located in the port, this pebble beach is quiet and has a lot of local charm. Ideal for swimming and then having a drink at the fishing port.

Tips for 2025

  • Booking: Some coves have limited capacity in summer.
  • Sustainability: Help us care for the environment. Do not leave trash and respect the Posidonia sea grass.
  • Footwear: We recommend water shoes for the pebble coves.
